Overview
As a Full Stack Software Engineer you’ll build features across the entire Avok stack: the analyst- and operator-facing interfaces of Meridian and its modules, and the backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power them. You’ll ship software that has to be fast, clear, and dependable in high-stakes settings — and see it used by the people it’s built for.
What you’ll do
- Design and build full-stack features across the Avok platform, from UI to services.
- Create responsive, data-dense interfaces that make complex information legible under pressure.
- Build and integrate APIs, services, and data pipelines; care about performance and reliability.
- Write tested, secure, maintainable code and review your teammates’.
- Deploy into secure (Protected B → Secret) and sometimes air-gapped environments.
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience across modern frontend (TypeScript / React or similar) and backend (Go, Python, Rust, or Node).
- Solid fundamentals: data structures, APIs, databases, testing, and secure coding.
- A bias for shipping and a high bar for quality.
- Eligible for Canadian Government security clearance.
Nice to have
- Geospatial, mapping, real-time, or data-visualization experience.
- Experience in regulated, defence, or mission-critical software.
Why Avok
You’ll work on mission-driven technology that helps Canada see, understand, and decide — alongside a small, senior team, on problems that matter. This is an on-site role in Toronto. Many roles require eligibility for Canadian Government security clearance and compliance with the Controlled Goods Program.
