Overview
Radio-frequency data is one of the sources Avok Sentinel fuses into domain awareness. As an RF Signal & Telemetry Systems Engineer you’ll build the signal-processing software that exploits RF and telemetry data: detection, characterization, and geolocation algorithms that turn raw signals into tracks and insight. This is a software / DSP role — you write the code that makes sense of the spectrum, not design radios.
What you’ll do
- Develop signal-processing and analytics software for RF and telemetry data exploitation.
- Implement detection, classification, and geolocation algorithms in software.
- Integrate RF-derived products into Avok’s fusion and geospatial picture.
- Optimize DSP pipelines for performance and real-time use.
- Validate against real data and collaborate with fusion and platform teams.
What we’re looking for
- Strong software engineering with applied digital-signal-processing experience.
- Understanding of RF fundamentals, detection/estimation, and/or geolocation techniques.
- Python / C++ / Rust and numerical / DSP libraries.
- Eligible for Canadian Government security clearance.
Nice to have
- Experience with SIGINT / EW, spectrum monitoring, or telemetry systems (software side).
- Familiarity with SDR data and RF / AIS correlation.
Why Avok
You’ll work on mission-driven technology that helps Canada see, understand, and decide — alongside a small, senior team, on problems that matter. This is an on-site role in Toronto. Many roles require eligibility for Canadian Government security clearance and compliance with the Controlled Goods Program.
